Plumyra

Privacy

Last updated 31 October 2026

Plumyra checks your X account using only what you give it. It has no accounts, no sign-in and no ads, and it never logs in to X for you. This page covers the website at plumyra.com and the Plumyra Helper extension for Chrome and other Chromium browsers (Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc).

The short version

The website

When you add an X archive, an Under the Hood report, pasted posts or posts from the helper, Plumyra reads them in your browser. They are kept in your browser's storage so your report is there when you come back. Use Start over in the menu to delete them. Clearing your browser's site data does the same.

If you use the AI features, you supply your own key. The key is kept in your browser's storage.

The text sent is what that feature needs, such as the posts it is rewriting. Anthropic's and Google's own privacy terms cover what they do with it.

If you use your own X API key, your browser sends the key and your username through a small relay on our server to X's official API (api.x.com), which returns your profile and recent posts. The relay exists only because X's API can't be called from a browser directly. It keeps no copy of the key or the posts. X bills your developer account for the posts read; X's own terms cover that account.

Our host, Cloudflare, processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don't add anything to that.

The helper extension

The helper saves your own posts while you scroll your own X profile. It is passive: it never scrolls, clicks, posts, follows, sends requests to X or opens pages for you.

What it readsPosts shown on your own profile pages (text, date, link, and the reply, repost, like and view counts on screen), your handle, whether your account shows a verified badge, and the counts, join date and "based in" details shown on your profile.
What it doesn't readOther people's profiles, your timeline, messages, notifications, settings, passwords or cookies.
Where it keeps itIn the extension's local storage on your device. Nothing goes to our servers or anyone else.
Who it shares withOnly the plumyra.com page open in the same browser, and only when that page asks for your posts. You can also copy or save them yourself from the extension's menu.
DeletingChoose Clear in the extension's menu, or remove the extension.

The helper's use of this information follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. The data is used only to show you your account check. It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not used to judge creditworthiness.
